2011 Season - Week 13

Trading Day 2

A surprisingly small number of players were cut on Trading Day 2 with eight owners cutting just 15 players and two of them were then re-claimed by their owners (Ahmad Bradshaw by Marcus & Ryan Fitzpatrick by Johnnie). Chief cut Shonn Greene but his trade does not take effect until week 14 as he picked up Marshawn Lynch who had scored twoTDs in the Thursday Night Game. Aaron chose to not cut his other Franchise man Knowshon Moreno who is on IR and David S also did not cut the 3 players on his roster who are on IR, Nate Kaeding, Fred Jackson and Kenny Britt. From now on any player on IR can be immediately replaced by the owner provided they stay within the budget restrictions. As Aaron has spent all his $10m he has no money left to replace Moreno but David can cut his injured trio. Any changes are required by 11pm Thursday night to count for the following weekends games. Scoring Hall of Fame Things are getting interesting as we head into the final month of the season. In week 13 Chief equaled his highest ever score of 59 points and now leads the chasing pack by almost 100 points. It is Chiefs fourth trip to the hallowed marbled halls this season (one behind the 2007 season record five visits by H) and his 10th overall which equals Johnnie for second best one visit behind Wayne. It is the other end of the table where things have got very tasty as Aaron scored 58 points for his third ever Hall of Fame visit, as he makes a push to stay up. At one point on Sunday he was on 264points, H on 265 (both in the drop zone) and Marcus on 266 with Mark on 267 (both just safe)! By the end of the week H and Marcus responded with 40 and 32 points respectively and it is Mark who is now 10 points from safety with Aaron a further 11 back. H leads Wayne by 1 point with Marcus a further two behind all looking over their shoulders. The good news for Wayne is that Michael Vick is due back this week, the bad news is that Matt Forte could be out 2-6 weeks with his knee tear. In the Conference Daz has moved past Cheryl to lead for the first time this season and though the three promotion spots look assured we may well have a battle for the Conference Champion. NFL Playoffs Two teams secured post season play this weekend with undefeated Green Bay and San Francisco (10-2) both winning their divisions. Congratulations to the Packers and 49ers. Jim Harbaugh for coach of the year anyone?
